The Old Dairy Bed & Breakfast Parma San Geminiano is in the middle of the Enza Natural Conservation Area. The old building which was converted into the B and B was the first dairy in the village. It lies between Parma and Reggio Emilia on what is called Strada del Prosciutto e dei Vini dei Colli di Parma, that is the route where one can enjoy wonderful local wines and foods. Close by is the itinerary of the 11th century Matilde of Canossa castles and the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza. Only 2 kilometres away is Monticelli Spa, where visitors can enjoy trying out different thermal treatments or the fitness centre. We are also only 2 kilometres away from Montechiarugolo, the site of a fine medieval castle. The b & b and the bedrooms at the Old Dairy allow our guests to spend a relaxing time in the peaceful countryside here in Emilia. Guests can go for walks or take advantage of the nearby tennis courts, gym or swimming pool. The bedrooms are large and light, and are fitted out with antique furniture and objects made of wrought iron. There is a wide range of different restaurants in the area so our guests can easily try the typical cuisine of this region.

Antica Cascina San Geminiano is me, are the smells and colors around me, the green fields and the warm sun of my beautiful Emilia, it’s my Italian style with many recipes to be enjoyed along the Food Valley, the castles and sites historians that also surround the Val d’Enza with its river and its hills, the village festivals and all the places where the evening you can make a Apericena listening to music in the company. I advise you to taste the wine of our hills of Parma, the amiable Malvasia malvasia di Candia made with at least 85% and muscat white up to a maximum of 15%, a light yellow color, a pleasant scent, very aromatic fruity taste more or less bubbly, a gradation of 5 to 12 degrees, a wine to drink young is a dessert wine, especially the one indicated by the fruit dry.
